Proposed New Standard – Credit Decisioning for NZ (CDZ)

Proposed New Standard
Credit Decisioning for NZ (CDZ)

Posted on: July 26, 2021 | Last Updated: September 16, 2021

What is proposed?

A member of LIXI has requested that a New Zealand standard be created to enable electronic messaging between credit origination systems and credit decision systems in requesting credit assessments and returning results of credit assessments. This new standard will be very similar to the existing CDA Standard (Credit Decisioning for Australia), but will incorporate many of the same localisations as was made to develop the CNZ Standard (Credit Applications NZ).

What is the process for developing this new Standard?

All the LIXI2 Transaction Standards are derived from the LIXI Domain Model (previously referred to as the Master Schema). Our automated build processes make it easy to add a new standard to the build so that a new standard is created, as long as members are willing to contribute the requirements, the technical execution is relatively simple.

The initial set of elements and attributes that are to be included in the new 'CDZ' standard that already exists in one of the LIXI standards are defined in a number of tickets, available on these LIXILab Tickets. Any new items required will be raised as separate tickets and labelled with the 'CDZ' tag. You can see all open tickets related to the CDZ standard here.

How do I contribute?

Members are invited to contribute comments on the requirements described on these tickets, to add additional requirements by raising new tickets in LIXLab, or to comment on the draft schemas as they are developed. If your organisation is a member of LIXI, you are permitted to have access to LIXILab and you can register for an account here if you don't already have one.

How do I access the draft schemas?

As work progresses, an automated build process will regularly run, and you can view the draft schema (a work in progress) by following the instructions for one of two methods:

Method 1

Members can log into LIXILab and browse to the latest successful build pipeline and Click on the link to the job.

Click on the job that is 'in discussion'.

Download the artifacts.

Unzip the downloaded archive file, "Unreleased_Artifacts", and browse to the "xml" folder and locate the CDZ schema.

Method 2

Automating a process based on the draft schemas is easier using this method. The draft schemas are committed into the 'unreleased-standards' branch of the LIXI2 Schemas repository in LIXILab. You can use a git client to clone, or use the web browser to find the draft CDZ schema files here (for XML) or here (for json) - just search for 'CDZ" on the page and you'll see the draft versions.
