LIXI2 XML Viewer & Editor

LIXI2 XML Viewer and Editor

Posted on: July 7, 2020

We are excited to announce another new tool to make LIXI2 data integration projects even easier and faster. We are now looking for members and licensees feedback and comments to improve this tool and make it even better.

Our schema documentation is already incredibly simple and powerful, but until now, analysts, developers and testers have needed to resort to third-party tools to view and edit LIXI2 XML instances. These range from low functionality text editors to suites of XML tools that can cost thousands.

Our new LIXI2 XML Viewer & Editor is an incredibly easy way to visualise and edit LIXI2 messages (such as those published in our repository of sample messages).

Based on HTML5, CSS and JavaScript, all processing and rules evaluation occurs locally on your PC - so the data from the XML never leaves your computer.

The LIXI2 XML Viewer and Editor also gives you the tools to validate any LIXI2 messages against our library of rules that we have developed to radically increase your level of interoperability. Of course, you can customise these rules to add your own specific requirements, but starting with our preconfigured library of almost 1000 rules will get you started in no time.

LIXI2 Editor & Viewer

The LIXI2 XML Viewer and Editor is a great companion tool to use with our Customisation By Restriction Framework, to allow you to use the simplest schema you can, and a UI to visualise and edit LIXI2 messages.

Getting Started

Open the LIXI2 Editor and Viewer for the LIXI CAL 2.6.29 standard is available here. Versions for our other LIXI2 Standards will also be published in the coming weeks.

If you are not already logged in to the LIXI Website you will be asked to do so here. This is available to registered website users (available to employees of member and licensee organisations).

Open a CAL 2.6.29 message - if you don't have one, you can download one from the CAL Tutorial or find one in our LIXILab Sample Repository.
