This page breaks down the process into detailed steps to help our members participate in the lifecycle.

Raise a Ticket in LIXI Lab

Discuss the Business Requirement

  • Under the heading 'Problem / Requirement Statement' define your business requirement
  • LIXI staff will review the requirement and request more information from you where necessary
  • The LIXI community will be prompted to provide feedback on the requirement statement at this point
  • Any LIXI member can contribute to the discussion by leaving a comment under the issue description

Propose a High Level solution

  • Discussion under the issue ticket will lead to a high level solution proposal
  • LIXI staff will update the ticket description with the proposed high level solution
  • The LIXI community will be prompted to provide feedback on the proposed high level solution
  • LIXI staff will update the ticket description and, if necessary, the business requirement will be further refined

Implement the XML solution

  • LIXI staff will propose an XML implementation of the solution
  • The issue requestor will be prompted to provide feedback on the XML implementation
  • The LIXI community will be prompted to provide feedback on the XML implementation
  • LIXI staff will update the ticket description and, if necessary, the high level solution will be further refined

Add to Schema Release

  • The schema change will be implemented in the LIXI standard repository by LIXI staff
  • Before the release is made, a draft schema will be distributed to reviewers
  • Any LIXI member that has raised an issue ticket will be provided with the draft schema
  • The release will be made when all reviewers have approved the draft schema
