LIXI Insights – July 2019

It's always busy here at LIXI and this year is no exception. We've delivered a number of exciting changes and events already, and there are many more to come this year.

With our fourth standards release for 2019 we've now closed 170 change tickets this year. It’s a huge endorsement from the community - and the contributed effort from member organisations is really impressive. Thanks again to all the collaborators that have donated time to ensure that our data standards remain current and comprehensive.

After hosting a series of training sessions around the country we've received a really positive response. Thanks for the awesome feedback - more sessions have been scheduled as a result.
Expense Verification remains a hot topic amongst our members. Work continues on collaboratively defining a practical set of living expense categories for the industry. Now that the industry responses to ASIC's consultation paper 309 have been published, there is an increased focus and energy in this space.

We continue to enjoy our new home here at Stone & Chalk Sydney, within the Sydney Startup Hub. It’s a great opportunity to connect with many fintechs that are keen to leverage the two decades of experience that LIXI has in facilitating efficient B2B messaging across the lending industry.

LIXI Forum
Don't forget that the LIXI forum is fast approaching and we've confirmed a great lineup of thought leaders to speak. Block out your diary for the 18th September, register your place and tell any colleagues that would benefit from attending our premier event of the year.

We have published updates to the suite of LIXI2 Standards, available via the below links.

In this release, we've included an Account Opening Standard (ACC) as a Request For Comment (RFC), previously named the Servicing Standard (SER). The change was made to better reflect a number of use cases for the standard raised through member feedback on the first RFC.
* Credit Application for Australia (CAL 2.6.20)
* Credit Decision for Australia (CDA 2.0.18)
* Credit Application for New Zealand (CNZ 2.0.20)
* Documents Preparation and Settlements (DAS 2.2.20)
* Serviceability (SVC 2.0.9) )
* Lenders Mortgage Insurance (LMI 0.0.5-RFC)
* Valuations (VAL 0.0.5-RFC)
* Account Creation (ACC 0.0.2-RFC)

Shane Rigby talks with Simone Tilley to provide insight into ANZ's adoption of the LIXI2 Data Standards. "Data standardisation just makes sense".

After many years of service, Paul Lahiff will step down as a Director on the LIXI Board. Paul has been involved with LIXI since 2003 and joined the Board in 2011, serving as chair for 4 years.

The LIXI team thanks Paul for his generous contribution of time, experience and knowledge, which has assisted the LIXI community enormously. Paul will continue to be part of the LIXI community via other industry roles.
